Welcome from the Chair

As Chair of the Rapid Improvement Committee (RIC) for Bramley Grange Academy all members of the RIC are committed to turning things around after our recent inadequate Ofsted judgement. The Trustees have appointed us to replace the local governing body and secure strong local governance. Our team, selected for Bramley Grange Academy's specific needs, reports progress to the Trustees every half term via the Quality, Standards, and Safeguarding Committee.

RIC members serve two-year terms, meeting at least once every half term, although initially meeting every week. Weekly school visits and reports will keep us on track. We’ll act transparently and make collective decisions.

Supported by the Director of Governance and clerked by the Governance Manager, we’ll ensure compliance with statutory requirements, challenge and support the Principal and SLT, and monitor pupil engagement, curriculum effectiveness, safeguarding, and school progress. Our goal is to help improve pupil outcomes as rapidly as possible and help them achieve their full potential.
