Provider Access Statement 202526

Provider Access Statement 2025/26

Introduction

This policy statement sets out Bramley Grange Academy’s arrangements for managing the access of education and training providers to pupils for the purpose of giving them information about approved technical education qualifications or apprenticeships.

This policy is written in accordance with Section 42B of the Education Act 1997, as amended by the Provider Access Legislation.

Pupil Entitlement

Pupils in Years 7–11 are entitled to:

  • Find out about technical education qualifications and apprenticeships, including T Levels, Higher Apprenticeships and Degree Apprenticeships
  • Hear from a range of local and national providers about education, training and employment opportunities
  • Receive impartial information to support informed decisions regarding future pathways

This policy reflects the London South East Academies Trust (LSEAT) commitment to ensuring pupils are supported to progress successfully at each stage of their education and beyond.

Management of Provider Access Requests

A provider wishing to request access should contact the Careers Leader.

Requests should be made in good time and include:

  • The proposed date and time
  • The intended audience (year group or student cohort)
  • The format of the session
  • The information to be delivered

All requests will be considered on the basis of the school’s careers programme, safeguarding requirements, and timetabling constraints.

Opportunities for Access

Access to pupils will be provided through planned careers activities, which may include:

  • Assemblies
  • Careers fairs
  • Classroom or small‑group sessions
  • Curriculum‑linked learning opportunities

The school will ensure that pupils encounter a range of providers so that information is balanced and no provider is given exclusive access.

Premises and Facilities

Bramley Grange Academy will provide suitable rooms and facilities for provider sessions, subject to availability. This may include access to presentation equipment.

All providers will be expected to always comply with Bramley Grange Academy and LSEAT safeguarding procedures and visitor requirements.

Safeguarding and Equality

The academy is committed to ensuring provider access is delivered in a safe, inclusive and impartial manner, promoting equality of opportunity for all students and avoiding bias towards any particular pathway or provider.

Ofsted Compliance and Quality Assurance

Bramley Grange Academy recognises that provider access is a statutory requirement and an integral part of high‑quality careers provision.

Compliance with the Provider Access Legislation is monitored through:

  • Annual review of the academy’s CEIAG programme
  • Provider access records and participation logs
  • Evaluation of student encounters and destination outcomes
  • Senior leadership oversight and trust‑level quality assurance

This ensures that the academy meets Ofsted expectations within the Personal Development judgement, particularly in relation to careers education, impartiality, and preparation for next steps.
